The atomic number of an atomic nucleus corresponds with the number of electrons or protons and is depicted as atomic number in the period table of the elements. Elements and their isotopes with an atomic number higher than the one of Uranium (92) are called transuranium elements: e. g. Neptunium 93, Plutonium 94, Americium 95, Curium 96, Berkelium 97, Californium 98, etc.
